Pacific Dominance: A Failed Ambush
The Battle of Midway was an attempt to establish more dominance in the Pacific by the Japanese Empire. They also planned to use it as a stepping stone to conquer more Pacific nations. Unfortunately for them, due to some poor assumptions and a cracked code, their forces would fall in June 1942. The planned ambush was countered with another ambush, and the result was a Japanese death count of over 3,000 men.
